Portsmouth NH - Downtown Pier

Here in Portsmouth New Hampshire and the surrounding towns, summer may be coming to an end, but the fun continues on! 

We still have plenty of wonderful weather ahead of us before winter
comes, and plenty of fun things to do as well.  Fun things abound
all year long here along the coast!

9/5 – “Portsmouth Poetry Hoot“- Café Expresso – Portsmouth.  
9/6 – “Old-Time Contra and Square Dance” – Dover City Hall – Dover.  (8pm to 10:45pm)
9/7 – “ECSD Summer Concert Series” – Hammond Park – Eliot Maine – enjoy a cookout and concert.  (6:30pm)
9/8 – Opening Gala- “Tiempo Libre” – Portsmouth Music Hall – Portsmouth.  Celebrating the restoration of this beautiful historic music hall with hot Latin music. 
9/8 – “Thomas the Train and Friends“ – Regal Theater - Newington.

9/8 – “6th Annual Paddle on the Pond” – North Mill Pond – Downtown Portsmouth.  (11am to 2pm)

9/8 – “Jackson Hill Cider Day” – Historic Jackson House
- Portsmouth.  Harvest celebration for families – music, games,
cider-pressing, crafts, and more.  (12noon to 4pm) 
9/9 – “Capriccio Festival of Kites” – Kite Masters’ Festival – Ogunquit Beach Maine.  (10am to 2pm)
9/15 – “22nd International Coastal Cleanup“ – various sites along the New Hampshire coastline and along Great Bay.  
 
9/15 – “Art in the Park”- York Art Association Juried Arts & Crafts Show – Moulton Park – York Maine.  (9am to 4pm)
9/15 – “Hootie and the Blowfish” Concert – Casino Ballroom – Hampton Beach. 
9/15 – “Comedian Jimmy Dunn” – Seacoast Repertory Theatre – Portsmouth.  
9/16 – “Portsmouth Criterium Bicycle Race“ – High-speed bike races through the streets of Portsmouth and a Lifestyle Expo in Market Square – Downtown Portsmouth. 
9/16 – “Before Strawbery Banke: Celebrating the Historic Museums of Portsmouth”- Gov. Langdon House – Portsmouth.  (3 – 4pm).

9/23 – “Portsmouth Peace Treaty Parade” – Downtown Portsmouth to Prescott Park – Portsmouth.  (2 – 3pm)

9/23 – “2nd Annual Seacoast Pan-Mass Challenge Kids Bike” – Great Island Commons – New Castle.  (9am to noon)
9/30 – “The Shaw Brothers in Concert” – Portsmouth Music Hall – Portsmouth.

- Historic Downtown Portsmouth – learn about the early settlers, ship
builders, patriots, and more, who came to Portsmouth to find their
fortunes.  

Month of September -  Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays – “Portsmouth Harbor Twilight Tours”
- Historic Downtown Portsmouth – learn about the ‘bawdy life’ of a
by-gone era on the waterfront of Water Street.  Tours start
5:30pm.
